A B O U T

Welcome! I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend with a personal mission to encourage others with words. My husband and I have been married for almost three decades, and have two beautiful, almost-grown children. With both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in elementary education, I have served in various capacities as an educator–teaching different grade levels in both public and private schools, and most recently serving as an elementary librarian.

Twenty years ago, a miraculous experience reignited in me a long-buried passion to write. The testimony of an answered prayer was shared with my church family, Christian Women’s Club chapters around the state of Alabama, and was ultimately published as a story in a book called Living the Serenity Prayer (Adams Media) in 2008.

Since then, I have been blessed to contribute to several publications at LifeWay Christian Resources, both in print and online–including hundreds of devotions in Adventure magazine for kids, numerous articles for ParentLife and BabyLife magazines, the TeamKID discipleship curriculum, and Explore the Bible, and Bible Studies for Life preschool. I have also represented ParentLife in interviews with several well-known Christian personalities, such as Patricia Heaton, Sean Astin, Sarah Drew, Christy Beam, and one of the highlights of my writing tenure, my hero– Max Lucado!

Additional writing credits include contributions to anthologies for traditional publishers such as Guideposts, Bethany House, and Adams Media (see Amazon author page), and guest posts for (in)courage, and others.

Serving as a speaker for civic and women’s groups is always a joy. Please use the form below to contact me if you would be interested in having me speak to your group!  I gratefully give all glory to God for each and every opportunity to share His love. It is only by His glorious grace.
